Hilary Lorenz is a print media artist currently based in New Mexico. She makes large-scale printed and cut paper installations that revolve around her physical exploration and relationship with the natural world. Lorenz travels extensively to create ambitious projects from her experience and infatuation with frontier living.
After thirty years of living in New York City, Lorenz moved to rural New Mexico in the Fall of 2021.

Lorenz is a Fulbright Scholar and NEA Mid-Atlantic Fellow; her artwork has been reviewed in NY Times, LA Times, Art in America, and Art on Paper. She received her MA and MFA from the University of Iowa in Printmaking and Intermedia.
Hilary still considers NYC home. When she is not working in the studio, you can find her running in the mountains, walking her dogs, or with the Abiquiu Fire Department, where she is a volunteer firefighter and EMT.
Fun fact: Hilary holds an MS in Exercise Physiology and Nutrition in addition to her MA and MFA. She coaches both strength and distance running to adults through her company, tortoiseandharecoaching.com
